Rolando Antonio Pietro Beorchia

Rolando Antonio Pietro Beorchia was born on 29 December 1905, the fourth child of Pietro Eugenio Beorchia and Ester Maddalena Giuseppina Benedet.  There were nine children in his family and each child was born in a different town.

I have had little success finding information about his life.  After his birth certificate, the next record I have is from a list of prisoners from Dachau concentration camp, 300 miles from his birth town in Naters.  He arrived in Dachau on 9 March 1945 and was given the prisoner number 144 372. He was listed under the name ‘Ronaldo Beorchia’.  Dachau was liberated by the troops of the US Army on 29 April 1945.  He was a prisoner in Dachau for 51 days.
